Iowa Wood Firing, 2023

In the fall of 2023, the artists in residence at Access Arts were given the opportunity to travel to Jim Kasper's property, and fire work in his unique wood kiln. His kiln design allows for the addition of glaze ingredients and other materials during firing. This process produced some really fascinating results, that I don't think I'd be able to reproduce elsewhere.
