About Andrew

I had an interest in clay from a very young age, despite having little contact with the medium. There is a permanence to ceramics I find enthralling; some pots have survived for thousands of years. I finally dove into ceramics by taking a beginning wheel throwing class in the fall of 2021. It was my first time working with clay since elementary school.
I rapidly fell in love with ceramics, and took a class in every session at Access Arts that I could. Wanting to further develop my practice, I applied to be a resident with the organization. I began teaching classes, mixing new glazes for the studios, and took on the role of studio manager in the spring of 2024. It's been a joy getting to serve the organization that nurtured my love of clay!
